Community Projects

A primary focus is on contributing to the creation of affordable housing and playing our part in the ongoing effort to combat homelessness. We are committed to fostering a diverse, sustainable, and thriving community.

Here are some select recent projects that support neighborhood organizations around the Bay Area

Lakeshore Renovation
Oakland California

Mason Kirby designed and oversaw the entire gut rehabilitation of this 45 unit waterfront complex.

Studio and two bedrooms were repositioned into one bedroom efficiency units, and all community areas and the exterior skin were rehabilitated.

MEDA Natoma
Our office oversaw the ground floor renovation and foundation replacement of a multi-family building. We handled design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration.  We revitalized an existing unit while also converting a storage area into a functional space.

Safehouse Renovation
The project focused on enhancing accessibility by upgrading the building. These upgrades comprised removing obstacles, lowering entryways to sidewalk level, installing a chair lift at the stairs, and renovating the existing 3rd floor kitchen for accessibility. Our role encompassed designing, documenting, and obtaining the necessary building permits.

Pre-Design Feasibility Report

A Pre-Design Feasibility Report is a crucial document that evaluates a proposed project’s viability, risks, benefits, and alternative options before the actual design phase begins.

Still trying to decide if this is the route for you? Submit and we will send you a sample report so that you can see what we produce, and how it can help you with the next phase of your renovation or build.
